More Mexican style recipes for Taco Tuesday!

It’s Taco Tuesday, so let’s keep with the Mexican theme for some awesome dips that everyone will enjoy!

Johnson’s Famous Mexican Dip

I never had this dip until I met my husbands family, so we call it the Johnson dip when someone requests it…so good even the Jones’s loves it!!

1 block Velveeta cheese

1 can Ro-tel tomatoes

1 can cream of mushroom soup

1 lb. ground hamburger (I use turkey)

1 roll of ground breakfast sausage (I also use turkey)

Instructions:

Brown hamburger and sausage together, drain.

Cut Velveeta in cubes, put in crockpot, add the beef and sausage mix, then the remaining ingredients and stir often until cheese is all melted, **on low about 2 hours, on high about an hour**

7-Layer dip (I only make it 6 layers)

2 can refried beans

1 container of sour cream

1 package of Cheddar or Mexican Shredded Cheese (or any kind you like)

1 bunch of green onions (diced)

1 small can of sliced black olives

1 jar of salsa

1 packet of taco seasoning

**Guacamole makes up the 7th layer if you want it—-spread on top of the sour cream layer**

Instructions:

1 Mix half pack of taco seasoning with the refried beans

2 Layer the beans on the bottom of the shallow baking dish

3 Mix rest of the taco mix with sour cream and spread over the beans

4 slowly pour salsa over the sour cream

5 Top with cheese, green onions, and black olives

6 Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving

SERVE BOTH WITH TORTILLA CHIPS
